Second time under a clean install of Windows 10 I set a restore point and had to restore back after getting a blank screen whilst watching Netflix in Firefox.
Restarted machine and when windows loaded, black screen again. Had to use windows restore to get back to working version. Hi, i just went on the nvidia forum because my new windows 10 just bought pc omen with nvidia has this problem too.
Did any of you, that posted here, opened a ticket with the nvidia support? Those kind of issue are present from the launch of windows 10 or even before with new drivers release, and i belive that nvidia must find a solution.
I 'solved' this problem for myself at least; in Win7x64, I found in Power management; i set computer to sleep at 10 minutes, but disabled "turn off display". If it helps the team put in investigating, I dont even know what that means; but I have noticed that if I grab my computer from sleep within about 10 mins, it's fine - but it seems to go into a 'deep sleep' mode if I leave it for long periods of time, and that's when I have problems. With generic windows7 drivers on low resolution it worked.
But after install native from CD came with the card - black screen. Under safe mode with drivers not loaded - it still works, but only like that. After couple of hours trying to resolve supposed driver conflict, took radical measures: clean win7 install on formatted partition with card installed from the beginning. Result - same story: works under generic drivers, but black screen after geforce driver installation.
No matter, was it native from CD , or latest downloaded from offsite. Mashine has an onboard integrated video, but i didn't find any settings in bios, associated with. Bought HDMI high speed cable, tried - same story.
Of course for clean experiment used clean Win 7 x86 install after disk format. No soft, no drivers, nothing. After GF drivers last install - blank black screen. Bios updated from Fresh details about issue After GT driver install not only screen blanks black. PC also disappears from net.
It becomes impossible to access it by RDP connection. This could mean, windows doesn't load properly after driver install. Is at all GT compartible with Q45 chipset? Tried on different HP machines with windows 7 or 10 - same result. Black screen. On H platform installs nicely. Both Win 7 or win No matter even weaker PSU. But on my Q45 - no way. Is there any way to make them work together, or just dispose of and forget as a bad dream?
So this fixed the Issue for you? I was getting random 5 second blank screens, this fixed it. This was after the lastest update and windows update with new driver signing or something. Just in time to ruin Xmas gaming! I am having this very problem. Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type. Showing results for.
